Down to Chengdu
I have to stay in the subway for hours everyday to go to work. I listen to things while most of people watch their phones. I spent one day in 24 subway stations to do an audio walk. Urban space is surrounded by electronic wildlife, and by recording sound from the city, we can be more human. In detail, I divided the 24 stations in four parts, representing the North, South, West, and East of Chengdu. We are the electronic wildlife by using our mobile phones, if we listen to our reality, it challenges, augments, and expands what we see without presenting a negative illusion by producing the reality of lived experience.
